So today, my good friend Kathryn has decided to follow me. And if there is any chance that someone could be reading my blog, here is the link to hers: http://tangent-world.blogspot.com/. She cures the boredom that plagues our young generation today, with cool photography, hilarious videos, and much more. If I were you, I would check out her entry on Kittens inspired by Kittens. Only one of the best videos I have seen in my life...not even kidding. So, check it out.
Also, I have another friend who runs a blog called Consider This Serendipity and here is the link: http://considerthisserendipity.blogspot.com/. One of her more recent entries have brought something to my attention that I feel strongly about. Let's start with a picture, shall we?
Okay so this picture insinuates that wearing glasses indoors is prohibited. But, by what means is that prohibited? Where in the code of society does this rule stand? Over my first year of college I have been ridiculed for wearing my sunglasses nonchalantly within the dining hall, dorm, and occasionally, maybe class. Now nothing again my friend here, just want to make that clear...but come on people, wearing sunglasses indoors is probably one of the coolest things you could do, like, ever. Now there is an exception. You have to be able to pull of this look, because sometimes it is sad to see the person trying to impersonate her superiors, hopelessly pleading for acceptance by wear her over sized Jackie-O's. However, if this girl knew anything, she would know that the only style of sunglasses that are widely accepted at any university are wayfarers...well at least at my university they are.
Besides the whole pulling it off thing, I would still like to know why wearing sunglasses indoors is so...I hate to use word, but...taboo. Girls can now wear the and I mean THE shortest shorts to the point of butt cleavage and get away with it. Why not throw in some neon wayfarers? I know that my friend who showcased the picture on her blog originally had no intention of sparking debate. Rather, it is more that I am sick of people telling me to take my sunglasses, when clearly the room is too bright. Just saying.

i like you
