As I sit and watch the latest episode of the emotional twister called The Young and the Restless, I ponder on what my life will be like. Will it be like the tortured souls on the soap opera? Will my life be tormented with drama and heartbreak? Will I die and come back to life to create a shocking scandal? Psh, I wish.
It is just another day in the life, well...certainly not in the life of "the young" and "the restless" which by the way is an obscene title for that show considering half of the cast cover thier age with procedures, when in real life they are old as fuck. I wonder how it feels to be a product of the baby boomer generation and to feel that you have to keep up with the times. Actually, I more fear for that feeling rather than wonder.
Anyway, let me hush on the random witty banter and relay my excitement of the day. Today, I downloaded "Contra" the new album from Vampire Weekend, only my favorite band in the world. Yes, the album does not come out until January 12th and yes, I could be arrested but no, I do not care. Their new album is fresh while maintaining that good 'ol Vampire sound. So I close with an ode to my winter vacation, with the title "Holiday" like the opening line says, "the best one of the year."
